Jólabókaflóð or “Christmas Book Flood” is an Icelandic Holiday celebrated on Christmas Eve. On this holiday people thrill over exchanging books and sharing in the joy of reading! Charles B. Phillips Library would like to share this tradition with the community.
Starting Monday, December 4th bring a wrapped gently used or new book to the library and leave for another person and take one for yourself. One book per person. This event will go until Saturday, December 23. The Library will have boxes labeled for books for ages Birth-7, 8-13, Young Adult and Adult. If you do not have a book to exchange that is ok you can still take one, the Library just wants to spread the joy of reading!
